1974 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa

Complete restoration of a numbers matching vehicle from a private collection. Number 213 of 246 Carrera Targas imported to the U.S.

There are 200 break-in miles on this full cosmetic and mechanical restoration. It features a stock 2.7 liter engine mated to a 915 5 speed transmission producing 175hp and 235 ft/lbs of torque. The transmission has been completely rebuilt with the engine being removed and the top end rebuilt by Advanced Performance Engineering of Temecula. A full major service was also performed to include new belts, plug wires, clutch with correct lightweight Carrera pressure plate and all the proper hardware to refurbish the engine compartment.

This vehicle maintains its complete originality while preserving any and all original usable parts. There was no rust throughout the vehicle prior to its cosmetic restoration. It was completely stripped with the engine removed and painted its original Black single stage paint. The interior is original pigskin leatherette with leather seats restored in dark blue with new factory silver knit nylon velour carpet in matching dark blue. It sports the Carrera script as well as the rare 911 Safety Stripes on the hood in the color of orange. Additional options are the factory matte “black look” exterior trim, flexible lip front spoiler, rear ducktail spoiler. The wheels are optional 7x15 front and 8x15 rear factory Fuchs alloys with period correct 60 series tires along with factory Bilstein shocks and aluminum brake calipers.

#213 is in superb condition and is by far one of the most beautiful Carreras for sale today. This car is believed to be the only U.S. Carrera in this very rare color combination and with its mirror-like paint finish, it is absolutely stunning.

There are no leaks and we have all the receipts from the restoration along with the original books and tools. This Carrera is an excellent investment opportunity and will be a perfect addition to any collection.
