1972 DeTomaso Pantera #3397
First a bit about myself. I have been restoring top end cars for 22 years. I choose 1 car every two to three years to fully restore to top notch condition. Originally I concentrated on early Corvettes. I then moved on to Lotus Super 7’s. After a few years working with Lotus, I again changed my attention to Ferrari, Superformance, and then again back to Lotus. Finally for the last few years I have been restoring Pantera’s.

I acquired #3397 just west of Orlando Florida July 2007. According to the previous owner the car was parked in a garage in the mid 1980’s due to mechanical problems. It has approx 33k miles. He planned on doing a restoration but never got around to it. After doing a full inspection for any rust or damage I purchased it and had it transported to my shop in the NW burbs of Chicago Illinois for a full restoration.
All parts of the car were removed and the car was stripped to bare metal. The following list is what was done:
Body:
Minor body work including engine bay
Etched, primed, and painted using PPG black 2 stage base/clear.
Steering and Suspension:
