The Mk9 is ex Tony Ferguson from Johannesburg who bought it new from Coopers and raced it in Europe for a bit before bringing it back here.

At one time it was fitted with a JAP 500 instead of the original Norton engine, but is now fitted with a Triumph Tiger 100. I could swap the Tiger 100 for a 500cc JAP, but it would be shipped alongside and not in the car. I bought it from a motorcycle guy in Cape Town who wanted the JAP engine.

It is Mk9/12/55, has the correct (original?) Norton box, and is currently fitted with a GRP body. The original alloy body is available with the car.

This historic 1955 Cooper Mk9 is ex-Tony Ferguson from Johannesburg South Africa, who bought it new from Coopers and raced it in Europe for a bit before bringing it to South Africa.

At one time, it was fitted with a JAP 500 instead of the original Norton engine, but is now fitted with a Triumph Tiger 100. The Tiger 100 could be swapped for a 500cc JAP, but it would be shipped alongside and not be installed in the car.

It is equipped with a correct and possibly original Norton gearbox, and is currently fitted with a GRP body. The original alloy body is available with the car.
