50th Anniversary Mini Tribute Race

As many people are already aware, 2009 is the 50th Anniversary of the Mini, and a very special Classic Mini 50th Anniversary Can-Am Mini Challenge Race is being organized to commemorate this important milestone in the Mini’s history.
Mark your calendar for June 27th & 28th, 2009 for two full days of exciting racing action!
The race will be held at Brainerd International Raceway, Brainerd, MN on the newly completed 2.5 mile 13 turn road course (without the drag strip).
The race is open to all Classic Minis, and selected Mini-powered variants (Moke, Wolseley, Unipower, Mini Marcos, etc.), that are race prepared to any vintage or current safety specifications. There will be several classes to accommodate the differing levels of car performance. There will be no restrictions on car weight or performance modifications for this event.

Additional Mini/MINI-related optional activities are available nearby immediately following the Mini Challenge by participating in the:
50th Celebration Mini/MINI Meet – East Meets West 2009 in Winona, MN,
June 29th to July 2nd, 2009.
