2010 Put-in-Bay Road Races Reunion

The 2010 Put-in-Bay Road Races Reunion celebrates the races held on the public roads of Put-in-Bay, OH from 1952 to 1959 and in 1963. A special effort is being made to gather the actual race cars and the people who participated in the Put-in-Bay races, but all with an interest in preserving the history of ‘50s sports car racing are invited to attend this casual, low-key gathering. Put-in-Bay is a small island in Lake Erie located just a 30-minute ferry ride offshore Catawba Island, Ohio which is about 40 miles east of Toledo. With helpful sponsorship from beverage distributor Maple City Ice Company of Norwalk, OH, this event is the brainchild of staff and volunteers associated with Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (www.svra.com). Proceeds benefit the Put-in-Bay Road Races archive of the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society (www.leihs.org).
