I'm am an Illustrator working in the entertainment industry. My illustration work spans a wide range of genres; including background painting for animation, storyboard and visual development art for feature film, CD and DVD cover art, editorial and book illustration. I recently finished the illustrations for the board game, ”Pirate King”, produced by FlasherVentures LLC. Nickelodeon TV, DIK Entertainment, Disney, Fox, Temple Games, Menagerie Creative are among my current and past clients. I have had the privilege of having my paintings exhibited in many international juried competitions.
In the year, 2000, a studio fire destroyed more than ten years of artwork. After the fire, I switched to digital media for my illustration assignments. Painter is my program of choice. I have received award-winning status on CGTalk, the largest online community of professional illustrators using digital media. I continue my freelance career while serving as area coordinator for the illustration program at California State University Fullerton. I instruct illustration courses in traditional and digital media.
My artistic influences include John Singer Sargent, Howard Pyle, Harvey Dunn, NC Wyeth, James Montgomery Flagg, and Dean Cornwell. My contemporary influences are too numerous to list. My artwork can be seen at www.cliffcramp.com.
I enjoys old things; old cars which I like to tinker on, old houses which I would like to live in some day, old furniture which I like to restore, and elderly people who I enjoys talking with. I live with my wonderful wife and two energetic boys in sunny Southern California. When I’m not working, I'm usually at one of the local car events, often with my wife and boys. We have a 1959 Austin Healey Sprite, a 1962 Mini Cooper and a 1962 Vespa.
